Integration by Trigonometric Method (sine cosine) has been discussed in the previous entry. Now let us discuss the examples:

1.) ∫ sin5 x cos2 x dx 

Solution:

Since power of sin is odd, we use method (1).

2.) ∫ sin6 x cos3 x dx 

Solution:

Since power of cos is odd, we use method (2).

3.) ∫ sin2 x cos2 x dx 

Solution:

Since all powers are even, we use method (4).
